The South Portland Land Trust is a private, nonprofit land trust dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents through the conservation of open space and the expansion of trail networks. Our key goals are to:

1. •Create a 20-mile network of trails linking the residents of all South Portland neighborhoods to the trails of adjoining communities
   

2. •Engage our neighborhoods, our schools, the business community and the City of South Portland in park and trail use, open space protection, trail building and land stewardship
   

3. •Encourage and support the acquisition of the priority open spaces identified in
   South Portland’s Open Space Strategic Plan
